School's OUT

Break time! Well..sorta...we're both still working, but there's nothing to do after work, so it's way better. I'm actually at work right now, so you can tell I'm working really hard...oh waiiiiit! Haha. Well lots of fun stuff has gone on the past little while, and lots of not fun stuff too (finals). I'll put up some pictures once I'm on my computer at home. We went to California for Thanksgiving, which was fun! It was nice to have decent weather, and feel like we actually had a break. Of course, once we got home, we realized the homework we had to do, but it was a good few days off! Haha. And of course, the company was great. I love being home and spending time with everyone. ANNND we didn't have to decorate for a wedding the whole time like our last visit, thanks Tessa. Haha, just kidding. That wasn't too bad. Once we were back in good ol' Provo, things got crazy. Well, things are crazy in California too, but it was a different kind of crazy. End of the semester projects, tests, papers were due and it was time to start studying for finals. Well, at least for Ben. I guess I didn't start studying until a few days before. I'm so dedicated. Anyways. Let's just skip the few weeks leading up to finals. They weren't anything special, and I would like to forget about them anyway. Oh wait, except I got a new job. Starting next Thursday, I'll be working at Macy's. My official title is AST Assistant - whatever that means. I like to say I'm a part of the Management team, because it sounds cooler. The rumor is, this job is pretty important, so let's just say I'm pretty important. Haha. Anyways, this last Friday, Ben's brother, Joe, came into town, so we've been with his family all weekend. It's been really nice to get away from Provo, especially after finals! Haha. Saturday we went up to Ben's grandparents' house in Logan for the big family party, which included like 60 people. It was fun, we did white elephant gift exchange and it's enjoyable to see people get annoyed. Haha. Back at Ben's parents, we basically played Mario Kart all weekend on the Wii. It's really bonding, except for Ben and me. We get too competitive and angry. Still fun though. We had a pre-Christmas dinner on Sunday since Joe won't be here for Christmas. I think I'm going to get fat. Family party Saturday, Christmas food Sunday, Christmas Eve this Friday and Christmas on Saturday - my stomach will probably hate me. But my taste buds will be happy. Well, I think that's about all that's going on with us. Like I said, I'll put up some pictures so you can see our cute faces. And I'll take lots more this break with the stupid snow. =/ I hate the cold. Oh well, story of my life the next 2 years. Haha! So great. Peace out!

HOME!

I'm going home in 2 days!! Time to be spoiled, eat whatever I want, and actually relax. Time to take all of my mom's attention, bug the crap out of my dad, and get hugs and kisses from all the kids. Time to remind everyone why I'm their favorite person, because sometimes they need a reminder. Time to take tons of pictures, watch chick flicks (because Ben won't watch them with me), and NOT have to put together a wedding!!!! I know you're jealous..I mean..look at these kids.

Now..if only I can get through these next 2 days..

Fall Fun

We've been super busy this fall - with school and work and trying to socialize. Here are the limited pictures of things we have done lately.

First off, Halloween. We were Egyptians.

At the BYU football game. We actually won this one.

Saturday night we went to Laura's birthday party. She's 21 now! Yay!

Me & my old roomies =]

It's been a long week of school. We're finally starting to get the hang of things - Ben getting used to all the homework he has, and me getting used to Ben having to do homework pretty much all day. At least we only have one day to go shopping for dinner stuff for the week, so I have everything ready ahead of time - that definitely helps out with all the busy-ness. We went to a BYU Festival thing last night. It was pretty fun, excluding all of the typical BYU kids there. I realize why I can't stand about 75% of the student population when I go to things like that. But it was still fun. We went with Trent, Camilla, Tyler and Kiley. It's always nice to hang out with friends. We got our faces painted, and Ben decided I should have scars going down my face, which of course had everyone looking at me. My favorite thing - oh wait. Well, things outside of school are going good. Sent in my acceptance letter to the Utah College of Dental Hygiene this week. I start there in May. It'll be nice to be going to school for something that I want. Ben changed his job time from 10:30 p.m. - 1:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. I don't have to go to sleep alone anymore, so that's nice. (Not that I'm a big scaredy cat or anything...) Haha! Well, I'm already excited for Thanksgiving break, even though it's 2 months away. Maybe we should have some visitors from California in the meantime. Hint Hint. Well, lets hope this week will go by a lot quicker than last!

Camping!

On Friday, we went camping with Trent and Camilla and Jaxson. It was pretty fun, even though we got rained on, and couldn't really get a good fire going. Don't worry though, we were able to get our dinner cooked so we had some food to eat. (Although we weren't able to make good s'mores, but it's all good.) Here are some pictures.

The boys trying to get the tents situated. It started pouring as we were trying to put them up.

Playing with the fire after it went out. Despite the rain and lack of fire, some of the coals stayed lit all night.

Trent, Camilla and Jaxson in their tent. Due to the rain, we had to stay inside and play cards instead of sitting around the fire. It was really comfortable..oh wait..

Before we went to bed, I made Ben take some pictures with me.

After about 4, he gave me this face, so we stopped. Haha!

The view on the drive home. It was gorgeous.

Week-Day Date

This past week, Ben and I went to the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point. It was a pretty cool museum - the best part was the dinosaurs of course. It's been awesome to be able to do things during the week, since Ben works at night now. Love it!

As you can tell, Ben was really excited to be in pictures for me...

This was this wall of different animal heads where it listed all the animals and let you match them with the ones hanging. It was pretty sweet - of course Ben had to kick all the little kids out and look at all of them.

This huge turtle reminded me of Tortey and how I totally ruined him. So sad, but I'm glad he wasn't this big!

One of the last things we saw was this huge shark. Yikes!

Catch up time. Even though we're both way busy with school and work, we still find some time to do fun stuff. We went to a rodeo a few weeks ago..

Then we had a chance to snap a picture before we went to a wedding..

Lastly, just thought I'd throw in a picture of what I woke up to one morning...

Isn't he cute? =]

So, we got our wedding pictures back, so I thought I'd post a few. I absolutely love them, so I can't wait to get them printed and up in our apartment. The wedding fun never ends! =]

We went to the Santa Monica pier after the temple and took pictures there. They turned out great!

Here are a few pictures from our cruise. The first is Ben & I waiting for the elevator on the cruise ship. Then it's Ben & I on Half Moon Kay, waiting to start our stingray adventure. And Ben is standing on our balcony with Grand Turk Island in the background. The best pictures we took were on our disposable cameras, which we have yet to develop. We have some pretty sweet pictures from when we were swimming with the stingrays and scuba diving. And down below are some pictures that Kaylie took when we were back in California after the cruise. Don't you love the kids with their scary faces?

Here it is!

So, I was told we needed to get a blog, so here it is! I guess that's the married thing to do. So, we have officially been married for 19 days, haha! After the wedding in California and the cruise in the Caribbean, we are back in Provo - SO great. Luckily, we're not in school now, but with work and putting the apartment together, we stay pretty busy. Well, the wedding was amazing. Haven't gotten our pictures yet, but will put some up once we get some. Thanks to everyone who came and took part in our day! It really was perfect! And our cruise was awesome. Having absolutely nothing to worry about was, by far, the best part. We went swimming with stingrays (not my fav, but Ben really liked it) and went on a catamaran/snorkel adventure. The weather was perfect, and you can't really beat "all you can eat" ice cream all week. It was great! Once I actually put the pictures on my computer, I'll put some up. Well, right now things are kind of boring. We're solely focused on putting things away. We're both pretty obsessed with organization, so until we're finished, I don't think either of us can fully relax. We'll get there soon though. We're excited to have a place of our own, and to have each other. We're pretty lucky ( Ben more so than I, but it's pretty close =] ). Well, I'll put some pictures up ASAP so you can see how cute we are!
