Oh happy day!

Today, one of my best friends got married.
Even though I couldn't be there, I'm still SO happy for her.
Check this girl out...

We first truly bonded over a pair of matching pajama shorts

She always makes a picture 10 times better

She would still be cute as a boy....kinda?

She makes my dad smile like this...

She's obsessed with babies, especially Troy.
My niece once asked me -
"Why does your friend keep kissing Troy?"
(in a concerned, disgusted tone)

She's got freakishly long arms - at least in pictures

For some reason, she has obsessive cleaning episodes
( which made her a great roommate =] )

Even without make-up, she's totally gorgeous

She always knows the best way to pose

She was there waiting for me after I got engaged at 6 o'clock in the morning

She helped me pick out my wedding dress...
and what NOT to pick out - yikes.
(PS - you can see her in the mirror taking the picture)

She came to my wedding in California
even though she had barely returned from London

She's always the life of the party, especially if it's her birthday!

She's such a good sport with the crazy things we do for her
like her bridal shower

And lastly, she made the most beautiful bride.
(Yes, I stole this from facebook, hope that's OK)

I love you girly, and I'm SO happy for you!

Trip HOME! =]

So, a few weeks ago, Ben & I took a little trip down to California. It really was such a great trip. We were able to spend time with those we love and just relax for the first time in a while. Great company, great food and great weather are three things I LOVE! Here are a few of the highlights from the week.

Day 1 was pretty busy. Ben & I got up early Saturday morning (like 5 am) to get to the airport. We arrived in California at about 7:20, where we met up with mom and Juli. We stopped by David & Tessa's apartment to say hi, then went home, said hi to everyone else and relaxed for a little. A little later that day, we went to the temple to see a friend of mine get sealed to his wife and daughter. It was really awesome to be a part of their special day. After the temple, we met some of the family at Vinces and had dinner. Here are some pictures from that night.

Mom & Pop

Tabby & Austin

Taylor & Carter

Juli, Me, Logan & Ben

Chad, Melanie & Carter (Carter really likes to pose)

Sisters!

Ben & Logan (Ben knows how to relate to the kids..)

Day 2 was Easter, so of course it was busy! Taylor & Tabatha blessed baby Tanner since everyone was home for the holiday. It was fun to have everyone together at church again. After church, slowly but surely everyone came over to Mom & Dad's house to hunt for Easter eggs outside and Easter baskets inside. (Ben was the lucky hider of the Easter baskets). I don't have a ton of pictures from Sunday, since everyone else in my family has a billion, but here are the few that I do have.

So my parents hat this huge blow-up ball thing that the kids go inside and get rolled around in. Ben went really fast, so Troy really liked it..

And then Ben wanted a turn..

Carter...always posing for the camera.

Can you tell Austin was crying? I was trying to distract him. He still said "cheese!"

Day 3 was pretty chill. I think we celebrated Chad & Tessa's birthdays, so everyone was over once again. It's always busy at home..haha. Once again, not too many pictures - whoops!

The boys outside playing with their new balls that Tabby & Taylor got them for Easter.

Day 4 was Tuesday, which was Chad & Melanie's last full day in California. Ben & I went with them to the beach, and they even went in the water, even though it was a pretty chilly afternoon. Afterwards, we met up with David & Tessa and went to BJ's for dinner. Fun fun!

Melanie, Chad & Ben in the water...crazy!

I think they like each other.

Tessa, Melanie & Chad at BJ's!

David, Ben & I!

So, I have no idea what went on the next day. I don't have any pictures from that day, and since it was a couple weeks ago, I can't even think of what we did. I can remember my parents taking Chad & Melanie to the airport, but I can't remember much other than that. Oh yeah, I think this was the day we went to get some yogurt with Danny & Errin & Juli. We saw some crazy lady riding a bike who wasn't very coordinated...tipsy?? Haha!

Day 6 was pretty chill again. I think we did a little shopping, a little relaxing, and of course a little eating. We went to La Tolteca to get some yummy Mexican food, one of my favorite stops at home!

Danny, Errin & Juli at dinner!

Ben & the parentals...I think sometimes they like him more than me. =]

Friday was our last day in California, so we spent it mostly at home, visiting with everyone who came over to see us off. Here are some pictures from that night!

Baby Khloe!

She's cute..

The boys trying to get together to take a picture..

Mostly smiling...I guess?

I guess for 4 crazy boys, this is a pretty good picture. Even Austin is saying cheese...pretty intensely, I might add.

Oh they love me!

So the week at home was really fun. I loved being surrounded by my family and being able to spend time with everyone, especially the kids. They are so fun to play with, and keep things entertaining. I'm excited to go back home in July to see everyone, even if it's just for a short weekend. I love my family!

Update =]

It's been FOREVER since I have updated this thing. We've been so busy with school and work, there's no time for this. Heck, there's no time to make dinner. That's usually why we're eating at 10 pm. Yikes. Anyways..I only have a few pictures of what we've been up to. First was my birthday. We went to eat a Carrabas with Trent, Camilla, Jax, Tyler and Kiley. Here's us...

Then on my actual birthday we had some people over for ice cream pie. Of course, there's only like one picture..so here it is - me, laura and lisa...

(P.S. Laura is now engaged! July 24 [I think] - so exciting!!)

So, Camilla and me have started to get into crafts lately. Of course we start at the end of our time being neighbors, but that's OK. Her and Trent are moving to Arizona for work in May. It's a bummer we won't be living by each other anymore, but I'm glad we've been able to become such good friends. Anyways..here are some of the crafts we have done...

...AND what Ben likes to do with our crafts...

(P.S. Camilla is pregnant again - so fun! I hope her next one is as cute as JAX!)
(P.S.S. Kiley is pregnant too! She's a few months farther along than Camilla..having a boy!)

Well, I think that's about it. There are only about 3 weeks left of school - I'm pumped. Then it's back to California for a week, and off to Dental Hygiene School. It's going to be a fun few weeks! I'm excited!

2011 =]

So, I just realized how great this year is going to be. There are a lot of fun things up ahead.

First off, I started a new job this year and I'm really excited about it! I'm officially an AST Assistant at Macy's (who knows what AST stands for...) - but I have my own office (I share it but I like to call it mine) and soon I'll get my own business cards. I know, I'm pretty special.

Next, in less than a month, I turn 21! I know..not that big of a deal since I don't drink, buuuuuuut it'll still be fun to say I'm 21.

In early April, Tanner John is expected to arrive! Taylor and Tabby are having boy #4! I hope he has pokey ears like Carter, because they're stinkin' cute! I love those kids. =]]

Then, on May 1st it's my one year anniversary! Can you believe it's almost been a year since I got married? OK, well it's still 4 months away, but that's way sooner than expected! And it's been a pretty awesome 8 months if I may say so myself.

Shortly after our anniversary, I start my Dental Hygiene program. The closer it gets, the more pumped I get about it. Finally, I'll be actually working towards what I want to do, which is really exciting to me. I just recently got the big letter in the mail telling me what I need to buy before I start, and it's fun to look for the different things I need (even if it's lab coats and safety goggles)! It's like my own lame shopping spree! Haha. Funny thing, my boss's wife is almost finished with the program I'm starting in May, so I get to talk to him about it every once in a while. It's makes me happy.

So, after I start my Dental Hygiene program, Summer is here! Which is wayyyy better than Winter, especially in Utah. Is it bad to say that I already hate the snow? I'm late to class every day because I have to scrape ice off of my windshield, which always takes longer than I think it will. I should probably get up a few minutes earlier, but then I wouldn't be able to blame the snow for making me late to class. Where's the fun in that??

Summer also means Danny and Errin's wedding! Wedding's are always fun..so I'm excited for it! Sometimes I miss planning for my wedding, but then I think how much better it is actually being married and I don't miss it as much. I think I'll relive my wedding prep days again when Juli gets married, because we all know she loves it when I help her. I mean, I AM her favorite sister. =]

Well, after the wedding, it's cutting pretty close to when our baby's due. Early September...

HAHAHA! Just kidding! I just couldn't think of much more fun stuff towards the end of the year so I thought I'd throw that out there. But don't worry Dad (or Ben) - I'm not pregnant!

The end of the year always brings fun with the holidays. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas - always fun and fattening times of the year. But those are always exciting, so that's not really specific to this year. Unless we get an especially awesome present this year, but I doubt it. I finish school NEXT holidays (2012) so that'll be when I splurge and get a sweet A present! Haha!

Well, as you can tell, I'm in a very optimistic mood about this year. Let's hope that it only brings more good and no bad! Well, a little bad is OK..just not a lot. We like happy years =] So bring it on 2011! Bring it on!

Stuck?

Nothing says "Good Morning" like being stuck in your apartment! Seriously though - Ben and I were about to leave for school, but when we tried to open the door, it wouldn't open! Since when has that ever happened? So, Ben called maintenance from our apartment building and a little less than an hour later our door opened for the first time. The so-called $250 doorknob was busted. (Who pays $250 for a doorknob? That maintenance guy must have been lying...) Yes, Ben missed his first class, but I don't think he was too bummed about it. Luckily I got to my class in time to turn in my paper. How do you think my teacher would react when I told him I couldn't get to class because I was stuck in my apartment?? Ridiculous! Anyways, that's how my day started. But don't worry..I can freely leave and enter my apartment now! =]
